Our hope is that you find us as a resource to enhance your nursing practice and a place to build Christ-centered connections with other NPs. CCNP Membership We welcome all advanced practice nurses including those who hold the credential of CRNA, CNS, CNE, CNM, DNP, PhD, DNSc, MSN and graduate students in the above specialties. About the Coalition of Christian Nurse Practitioners Mission Statement Our Statement of Faith What We Believe What We Do Mission Statement OUR MISSION STATEMENT As a specialty section of CMDA, we are here to encourage, educate and challenge members of advanced practice nursing to engage in a deeper, more fulfilling walk with our Savior, equipping us to impact the lives of others with the gospel. We accomplish this with biblically-based, compassionate and appropriate care while speaking the truth of Christ when we sense this calling from Christ. We also strive to inform members about social and bioethical issues within the APRN profession and discuss ways that these issues impact us and our appropriate response as Christian professionals. Our Statement of Faith The Scriptures We believe that the Bible is God’s infallible Word, that it was written by men divinely inspired, that it was thus inerrant in the original writings and that it has supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct. The Triune God We believe there is only one living and true God existing eternally in three persons-The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit-one in substance and equal in every divine attribute. God The Father We believe in God the Father, perfect in holiness, infinite in wisdom, measureless in power. We rejoice that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, that He hears and answers prayer and that He saves from the penalty of sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ. God The Son We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, virgin born, sinless in His life, making atonement for the sins of the world by His substitutionary death. We believe in His bodily resurrection, His ascension into heaven, His perpetual intercession for His personal, visible return in power and glory. God The Holy Spirit We believe in the Holy Spirit who came forth from God to convict the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment. We believe He regenerates, indwells, sanctifies, empowers and comforts those who believe in Jesus Christ. Man and Sin We believe man was created by God in a state of innocence, but that through the fall of Adam, the race has come to be entirely in sin so that all men are sinners by nature and deed, subject to death and wrath, and needful of the grace of God for salvation. Salvation We believe salvation is provided by God’s grace based on the substitutionary death of Christ on the cross and received through faith in the Lord Jesus apart from works or human merit. Those who receive Christ are born again as children of God and will rejoice forever in God’s presence. Those who do not trust in Christ as Savior remain condemned and separated from God. The Christian Life We believe those who trust Christ are called to a life of increasing holiness, obedience and good works by the power of the Holy Spirit. We believe it to be the Christian’s mission to serve others in compassion, to proclaim Christ by life and word and to impact society with moral values. We believe Christians ought to associate with other believers in churches of biblical faith and practice. Future Things We believe Christ will receive His church unto Himself and return to earth to reign. We believe in the resurrection of the saved into eternal bliss and the resurrection of the lost into eternal torment. We believe in creation of a new heaven and earth where God will dwell with His own forever. What We Believe AS CHRISTIAN APRNs, WE BELIEVE : Above all, we serve the Lord Christ. God is most honored by, and has placed us in a unique and privileged position to be conduits of compassionate whole-person healing through faith, prayer, and evidence-based medical care. Our practices are ministries of gospel redemption. As we serve our patients in the name of Jesus, we will seek to relieve pain and suffering, seek to be used as agents of healing, seek to minister to the whole individual and ultimately seek the salvation of our patients and their families for the glory of Christ and for their good. Since Jesus is the ultimate solution to all that is wrong and broken in life, we must use our influence to apply the gospel solutions to real-world problems. What We Do WHAT WE DO Outside of the office, you will find us participating in local Bible study fellowships, volunteering in refugee clinics, participating in international missions, advocating for health professionals and mentoring other student advanced practice nurses.
